Several of these songs just flowed out of them without a lot of work... Robert's lyrics on Stairway came to him about 80% at one sitting.... Evermore came quickly.... They were having trouble with Four Sticks when Bonzo decided to take a break and pounded out the beginning of Rock and Roll with the rest of the song coming very quickly. Inspiration is a wonderful thing.

Pretty sure it was a 59 Telecaster? The one he used on stage with the weird painting on it for most of early '69?

MMH is so dumb and yet so brilliant. And it contains (maybe) my favourite ever Bonzo drum fill.. you know the one!

For me, to borrow (and modify) a quote from Robert, they were the four best players/musicians of their or any other generation.

Bonzo's bass drum sound on MMH is absolutely CAVERNOUS. The last remaster brought out even more oomph in it.
