The new Moon Duo is rather good, like the old Moon Duo have been listensing to Follakzoid.

Cloud Nothings and Foxygen also sound good.

I know it won't have many fans on here but the new Elbow is good.

"Visible Cloaks’ hard-to-classify ambient music is a fascinating mix of organic and synthetic, past and future" - Pitchfork. Sounds like what I need this afternoon - so... now playing. Reassemblage by Visible Cloaks.

Had that on repeat all week, wonderful stuff along with the Disquiet compilation, http://www.unseen-music.com/disquiet/,

Also Blanck Mass now streaming here,

Doesn't disappoint if you like your electronic music to be "visceral".

Liking this, apparently it'll be the first track of an edited live album.
You might enjoy if you're into proggy-pop or space rock

New Foxygen is good. Like a crazy musical. Not sure if it will stand up to repeated listens but after the rather dire last album it is a great improvement.

Musical is about right. It's kind of a broadway history of popular music, isn;t it? I like it, I like how honest it is – it's not trying to be anything cool, or trying to present itself as this or that, it's a kind of 'warts and all' record of where thy're at, comfortable in being who they are. And it demands repeat plays.

Nice that they use a full orchestra on every track, and cameos from lemon twigs and Steven Drozd come as no surprise.

I've played it at least 20 times now and it's fucking great. I hope those two never break up. I am seeing them in early April and am so curious as to how they perform it live.

I've been playing the new Sarah Bethe Nelson, Dirty Projectors and Entrance records quite a bit. They seem pretty good. Not great but worth hearing.

The new Ryan Adams was his most boring yet. I just don't know about him anymore.

So many interesting records I have preordered over the next 3 months. Looking forward to it!

:D I like some of the US descriptions. One online music place compared them to "the guy who talks on Parklife"

Never come across Entrance before - very nice stuff, really enjoying it.

New flaming lips out today. Not going to say return to form as they have been all over the shop these last few years but it was an alright listen, couple of great stand out tracks but as a whole it hangs together well enough for more listens.

The only band that matters.

Actually, I'm on a FL kick these days, and I am playing these:

Yes - the Flips are a rather jolly troupe.
