Cream and JHE without any hesitation.

It's between Nirvana and the Police for third choice. And I think the latter were a wee bit better.

I have been listening to Cream more and more over the last year or so. Their records are filled with hidden depth, outstanding musicianship, and the most amazing interplay between the three of them. There is humour, bombast, subtlety and sensitivity in those first albums. And the more I hear of Jack Bruce, the better he gets.

Bros had rock n roll credentials. A-ha more so.

But JHE, Police, and Geddy's horrible vocals win it for me.
Heyyyy!

I listen to Cream all the time and I rarely listen to Hendrix. Very rarely.

The former were the dog's wotsits.

CSN (and Y) are also a major part of my life - all combinations, permutations and solos.

However, CSN only made a couple of superlative albums.

Likewise ZZ Top - stunning stuff.

I would also want to add Groundhogs and Budgie

So three votes:

Cream
Budgie
Groundhogs

[I assume the youngsters would want to add The Jam]

And the more you think of Ginger...?

I was going to do a 3 x way match (Cream, JHE, ELP) originally

Start the poll again with THE JAM. That's a serious omission
