I think I've said it before - this sounds like a tune The Monkees could have recorded

What other song does I Wasn't Born To Follow sound like? It's driving me mad.

The new one is surprisingly not what I was expecting

As opposed to unsurprisingly not what you were expecting? :)

Do you like it, billy?

Well, I have a hard time with these reunion things - I mean, it's not really the Monkees is it?

But, as a musical project on its own merits, I'd say it's pretty good.

I was actually thinking the same thing as I listened to it - that I'd like it better if it were credited to Dolenz, Tork and Nesmith instead of The Monkees.

Not that that option would ever, ever have been discussed...

Bit light, but nice to see them all in such good humour (altho' Tork's still a bit teary-eyed over Davy).

Good for him. That bit moved me a lot.

Billboard reported a few days ago that the new album debuted at no. 14 on their album chart, immediately making it their highest-charting album since The Birds The Bees...

10cd box arrived yesterday from amazon Spain. Picked it up via the price drop announced on superdeluxeedition. £16 inc postage. Previously only owned a best of. Put on Pisces and Head so far this morning, both great. I'm rather late to this party, will vote when I've played the whole box.

I was never a huge fan apart from the spectacular singles and the TV show when I was a kid.

But I have streamed their albums and there is a lot of filler. I should make a compilation of the songs I liked.

It's true that there is a lot of filler but there are some great album tracks.

I love 'She' and 'Mary, Mary' off the second album.
