Where the hell did that shitty year go?
I've had a three day Bowie-fest since his birthday (and going to see "Lazarus" on that day) and, man, it's a hollow world without him sometimes, isn't it?

Fun in parts, cliched and stilted in others... but fairly emotional throughout. I think The Slider summed it up pretty well - it was a good see but not essential... but I'm glad we went.

This could have been posted on a couple of RIP threads - how sad.
George Michael rehearsing Somebody to Love. Seal and Bowie stand in the background and applaud in appreciation.

I'm sure you've all listened to most of the Bowie stuff on various BBC radio stations this past week but this was one of my favourites. Hearing Ronno swearing in his Yorkshire accent made my day

Finally... the full 17 minute, four song performance on the British TV show "The White Room" from 1995.... I remember seeing this on the night and thinking "Jee-zus!!"

quite a line-up in the room - "David Bowie, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Brian Ferry, Jimmy Cliff, Wilson Pickett...and Skunk Anansie!"

Maybe this has been posted before, but it's worth a read. Bowie (it's alleged) has a go at a fan who wants compensation for defending his 80's music!

I've always felt this was sort of his tribute to John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. Thoughts? (Or is that common knowledge or something?)
