Right?

Not for me - I've never warmed to Revolver much. And I'd rate the first one much higher than you; and I think Help! is their weakest by some distance.

SO....

The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's
A Hard Day's Night
Magical Mystery Tour
Rubber Soul
Please Please Me = With The Beatles
Revolver
Abbey Road
Let It Be
Beatles For Sale
Yellow Submarine
Help!

- more or less

I like Let it Be far more than Abbey Road. Clearly I am in a minority.
Oh boy is it getting rough, when my old world charm isn't quite enough.

Now that's crazy talk!

I can see not liking the more ballad-y stuff on there, or "Good Day Sunshine" (though I love 'em more than life itself), but I don't see how you naysay "And Your Bird Can SIng," "I'm Only Sleeping" and "She Said, She Said." Three of the greatest guitar songs ever.

It is a great album Dave, but nowhere near their best. Anyone who thinks that needs their head examining

I like those three (especially the last one) but they're not GREAT songs, to me. Not Beatles-great, anyway. The album is full of these short little genre exercises. It flits about. All sort of impressive but kind of empty.

Anybody with ears who was there at the time knows that Abbey Road is an over-polished turd.

Carry on, Hoffmanites.

'Revolver'? Nowhere near their best?! Oh, get lost, you obtuse idiots. Honestly, take a good long BCB look at yourselves. All those fucking ridiculously inane Yes and second-rate Fall tunes have screwed with your minds.

Silly fools

Revolver is quite magnificent throughout.

Revisionist fucknuts to a man.

I am not sure it is still quite so fashionable to say that Revolver is better than Pepper anymore.

Not that it ever was.

And only a fucking American would venture to call Abbey Road an over polished turd. Guy, you are deaf.
