Has to be Bunnymen. A stately record. The other two are decent second division efforts.

'King in a Catholic Style' was the killer China Crisis song. I don't think anyone else here has ever even mentioned it. It's a fucking gem. And one of the best guitar solos ever ever.
From that lot, I'll take the Bunnymen song. It's pretty good.

I don't think so, no. Maybe a little bit - like fellow Scousers It's Immaterial and Black. Sort of 'mature pop', maybe. But better than that sounds!
I think it's one of those written solos (rather than one that was improvised) but you can almost picture the fucker sitting back looking smug as fuck once he'd played it. Brilliant.
Starts at 1:38.

Stop it now. He's a good guy - FAR from the worst - and he was very talented indeed.
But he obviously nicked a few ideas from that there video

"African And White" is their finest moment, actually.
Of the three songs above....I'd have to go with the China Crisis track. The Colourfield song is appallingly bland crap (they did much better) and I've never understood the fascination with E&TB.

I like all three, but I'll go with China Crisis, as Flaunt The Imperfection is one of my favourite albums of the 80s.
Of course, the Steely Dan connection helped a lot .

"Dancing Horses" is one of my favorite 80's singles.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?
