Missed a lot of tongue-in-cheek messing there, I think...

fange wrote:Oh, you know what, fuck you. If all being a doyen means is acting like a grumpy, stuck-up prick, well done, mate - mission accomplished. You and your self-satisfied brethren can just fuck right off.
I didn't join BCB back in the 1600's, i don't like in the UK so don't have a chance to go to jolly ups, and I don't happen to be your FB friend or someone who checks FB that often in fact, so I haven't had the pleasure of learning what you think about every fucking band that you've loved or hated till now.
My apologies. I know it's probably too much to ask for some explanation or discussion about music on a BCB thread, it being a music forum (at least in part), so i'll know better than to waste my and your precious time. So please, enjoy sharing your obviously very personal musical pontifications with your very personal musical compadres and leave the BCB plebs like me to roll around in the debris of this obviously "much better back then" place.
You think you feel outraged?
You should have seen the fall out from the "Who was the biggest swinging Nick: Kershaw, Heyward or Jones?" thread back in 2006.

Strange how something that is so completely arbitrary, and seemingly unimportant, seems to cause such emotional turmoil.....

I've said it before, but I must have not noticed the essay question all those years ago.

60695 - Next Minestra Supper Club Saturday 1st of July 2017
We are looking forward to launch our next supper club on July 1st in our house before our usual summer break.
Our allotment has started producing courgettes, edible flowers, broad beans, peas, new potatoes, spring onions, artichokes and different varieties of lettuce.
All these organic ingredients will be featured along with our homemade pasta in a meat free menu. To finish, our home made gelato will give you a real touch of Summer. This menu can be adapted to a gluten free diet.

Hurrah! Artichokes for all! Let us feat and be merry, for even the dullest of bell-ends and clappers were once shiny and bright.
