From the NME :

"A new £90 Kate Bush box set has spelt one of her classic album titles wrong on the sleeve.

An eagle-eyed fan, who runs a box set and reissue music site, spotted the error on Bush’s 1978 debut album ‘The Kick Inside’, which was misspelt ‘The Kick Insde’."

Oops.

Having got the CD Boxset I yesterday, I've just given "The Dreaming " a spin (I heard stuff I've heard before on "Night Of The Swallow" and that may be my most played Kate album side) and I'm now into "Hounds Of Love". I'm not a technical guy, nor a musician...but they sound so much clearer than the original CD's. Beautiful job so far.

After finding the first box for 46 Euros on amazon-it, I took the plunge - if only for the remaster of The Dreaming.

That's a great deal Felix! I'm playing them one by one - "The Dreaming" had the most marked differences for me so far... I heard things on "Night Of The Swallow" I've never previously heard - and I've played that second side an incredible amount in the past 36 years!

Looking forward to it - I feel a bit silly, though, as I have almost all of these albums on vinyl and CD already. ;)

December 6th Kate Bush releases a book of selected lyrics called How To Be Invisible.
Also from 5th-9th December Kate has approved a ‘pop-up’ shop behind London’s Kings Cross Station which will sell vinyl, CDs, this book, alongside “a selection of exclusive specially made items”.

:?

Any one able to go along and check it out?

I am going to try and get up one afternoon but it's a difficult time for me...both workwise and prior social commitments...but I'd like to try.

I acquired vinyl box IV yesterday, and am playing it now. Minor quibbles - she could have added more information (like personnel) let alone some interesting sleeve notes; and the vinyl boxes could/should come with a digital download code, like the Stones vinyl box did a few years ago.

They're exact reproductions of the originals. Maybe She should have addressed and tailored them to the individual purchaser?

I'm not sure I understand. The cover art is exactly as the originals were. They all had varying degress of info.

Sky of Honey has been banded about as my favourite record of all time for a while now and I was thrilled to get the remastered Aerial for my birthday. However, Rolf is off it and I am far less keen on the replacement vocal. I am very conflicted about the whole thing. I’ll probably be trying to get a vinyl copy of the original, despite the fact that the remaster otherwise sounds extraordinary.

Has Rolf been replaced by the, er, multi-talented Bertie as he was for Before the Dawn?

Sky of Honey is just wondrous isn't it.
