It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

Re: your 100 favourite songs
I love that you can do this. I cannot be free. I need limitations, like a specific song or topic to talk about.

Start typing, Jim! You can always come back to edit. Surely there are 100 songs that mean a great deal to you and have done for a long time.

Good lads.
Songs are what it's about, I think. Especially these days when we're all walking about with iPods and the likes. Song lists make for more interesting and varied reading too.

One of the reasons I dislike lists like this is I could rattle off 100 songs easily and still forget many I should have chosen. I could probably do a quick random 100 for you?

I rattled them off in 20 minutes, Jeff - altho' the list is something close to my 100 faves. I'll be back to edit later (I just realised I left off 'Lust For Life'!!)
So yeah - get cracking! but better to leave off songs that are 'only' ones you like a lot, and plump instead for songs that really make your eyes pop out still.

If you take your time over choosing, and listen to songs in order to decide if (again) they're right for your top 100, then the whole process itself is really enjoyable.

Okay, be back in a few minutes...
Instead of taking my time and analyzing my selections I'm going to do it fast.

Yeah. I was thinking I'd just start dashing them off, then take some time to refine it.
That's kinda what I do with Cup lists, but I don't take enuf time. Gonna change that.

I'm gonna cheat and leave out jazz instrumentals. This will take some time, but I'll get it posted ASAP.
