Dany Baker expounds on the importance of the Christmas discs as a the best way to chart the dramatic changes they made or something like that.

“House made” compilation of Townes Van Zandt. I could have just ripped Live At The Old Quarter but this way I get differing production values and other musicians along for the ride.

NP Norma Waterson - eponymous 1996 release.
Haven’t played this in a while and it’s always been a top album to my cloth ears. The song selection is inspired, the musicians including Richard and Danny Thompson, Martin and Eliza Carthy, etc. are so supportive. Recorded in L.A.? Really?

I have been alternating Taylor Swift's two mighty 2020 releases and albums from a Gene box set I was given for Christmas.

Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
I'd never even heard of Lucinda Williams till about 15 minutes ago when she popped up on a Spotify Daily Mix.
I loved that track (You can't Rule Me) but I'm less fussed about this album.
