Appears to be compilation solely of beat/psychedelic bands that recorded in what was Czechoslovakia, although I can't read whatever eastern European language the liner notes are in. Surprisingly good, as far as recording quality and also the material.

The 90s cup prompted me to dig this out again after more than a decade or so.

Cheering myself up after the cup-listening shenanigans with autobiographical tales of sexual violence. Album of the year, even if it was first released last year.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I've had that on my wishlist for a while after reading something about it online. I've noticed you and Rob seem really taken by it. Guess I'll have to finally bite and see what the fuss is about.

I'm absolutely enthralled by it. It's like she's channeling Diamanda Galas and Pharmakon in order to exorcise some very personal demons.

The genre poll made me do it. It's not quite part of my top 20 but I certainly considered it just for “Baby I'm Bleeding” alone. That is proper hip-hop braggadocio.
