Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Something bracing for the morning

Like the middle ground between The Cramps and Hawkwind.

It's been so long since I last dug this out, must be more than a year. I remember hearing Sigur for the first time, and thinking just how strange, and uniquely beautiful this is. Sadly, it was definitely unique, and not something they ever recreated. Still, how many bands ever record something quite this good?

The song run from “Silver Raven” to “Some Misunderstanding” on this album is incredible and represents the pinnacle of country rock, in my mind. Gene Clark is one soulful sounding man.

Two excellent choices above!

Anyway...my favorite Miles..... seems very apt for this beautiful spell of dry, hot summer ...

Perfection. Sometimes its Jack Johnson, sometimes its On The Corner, sometimes its Kind of Blue, but most often its this.

Alt-J's critically panned third album, and I wasn't keen on the first couple of listens, either. First track just sounded rather nice on revisiting though.

It's not that it's not good (it is) but if it was GREAT...it would have been released at the time.
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.
