A surprisingly good freebie sampler cd I got at the Tricot show I went to last Friday night. It's called 'Texas, Its Own Country' volume II, and features underground bands with great/horrible names like Mwmbwls, Farmertron Automatic, Nautilus vs. Pangolin, Japanese to English and Caldo Frio playing in styles varying from metallic post-rock, pop-punk, hip hop in Spanish, and ska.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

1980 album by minimal synth outfit from Paris. First track sounds like O Superman played by Suicide.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

NP: some classical music or some shit

John Coan - Peckish Yarblockos E.P. (aka the Whitehaven Rite of Spring)

Absolute shite.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Surely one of the most intense recordings by a band featuring a tuba.
