Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

This album ended up being a surprisingly nice pairing with the new Max Richter release. The Richter album could almost be treated as the funeral music for the death of Phil Elverumen's wife. I enjoyed both albums but feel rather sober after the fact.

This album sounds rather dull and dated compared to other releases from the Krautrock-era. It's probably among my least favorite from the genre now. I'm sure it's an influential work, but I just wasn't very convinced by the music.

That one feels more like a compilation than an album but I do love many of its ditties, especially “Girl/Boy Song”, “To Cure a Weakling Child”, and “4”.

Miracle Steps: Music From The Fourth World 1983-2017

A compilation of tribal ambient tunes from the likes of Rapoon, O Yuki Conjugate, and Jon Hassell. Rather lovely.
