Double vinyl comp of idm type stuff from 1996, featuring Luke Vibert, Tortoise, Springheel Jack, and worryingly, Mike Flowers Pops vs Aphex Twin.

That looks cool. The Mike Flowers Pops thing also appeared on Aphex's 26 Mixes For Cash.

This took a while to get into. When this came out I didn't get it at all. I tried again with her new album last year and felt the same but just randomly put this one on again now and I'm feeling it big time.

New album by Uniform, expanded to a trio by the addition of a human drummer. Feels like a real lo-fi recording, the guitar is heading in a black metal direction. Just not sure if the removal of machines is a good thing here.

Should have made my 90s cup selection just tracks 1 to 8 of this. Not even a hint of Neil Young here.

My latest obsession. The best techno since Jon Hopkins' Immunity. Extremely hypnotic rhythms constantly driving forward with urgency into strange and unknown territories. It wears its folk and tribal influences with pride, all of these weird instruments banging and wailing above the ultra heavy sub bass. Awesome.

Ooh, I overlooked this one. Bumping, so I remember to check it out.

I seem to go through a cycle where I'm obsessed with this album every few months. Back on it now.

Lana Del Rabies - Shadow World

Almost forgot about Lana, in the fuss over Lingua Ignota.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

The detractors of this album have questionable taste.

Michael Gira being one. I love it though, It became one of my favourites, once I got over the 'pastoral' production.

I wouldn't quite rank it as one of my favorites from them, but I see it as a great precursor to what would become The Angels of Light. And I love that project. How I Loved You is one of my favorite folk rock/country albums ever. It's pretty insane how proficient Gira is at many different styles of music.

Not far behind How I Loved You in the awesomeness stakes.
