Quite disappointing new album from The Ex.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Returning to the previous album, in light of the latest one being a tad underweight to say the least.

This is some really hypnotic music. I was completely lost in all the ominous waves of sound.

Yeah, his most recent album is fine and all but it doesn’t hold up to the brilliance of Immunity.

This is about as accessible as Anatolian rock gets; pleasant yet powerful female vocals (not going into those extreme high ranges you'll hear in some Asian popular music), big fuzzy rock guitar riffs, funky beats and generally good production.

SOPHIE - Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides

Cheesy pop meets glitchy IDM.

The former side gets a bit too cheesy and the latter side gets a bit too aimless but this song is proper.

I love all 8 hours of this but NTS Sessions 2 is right up there with the very best, especially “elyc9 7hres” which is the most Autechrey thing I've ever heard, a proper collage of weird intricate noises bouncing off each other at 100mph.

Doomy, hypnotic bass & percussion. He was at his best here.

Moby Grape - 20 Granite Creek

Played this over and over today. Reading Cam Cobb's new book on the Grape, which opens with a chapter on this reunion LP. Everyone acknowledges that the debut is the best of the bunch, but opinions vary as to what the second best LP is. It's either this or Wow folks. Though I like all of the first five records.

Something to settle the nerves after that bloody England game.
