I never seem to play that one that much myself, I think it's just because I demand a little more menace from my TG, and really the only walk on the dark side there is "Persuasion", which is too uncomfortable to enjoy. Still a pretty damned good album, just not generally what I look to TG for.

It's one of my favourites. I should play it more often.

This thing:

Here's an article about it:

It is like Venetian Snares, Autechre, and Arca all in one. Yeah, I like it a lot.

They're very much the law of diminishing returns - the Blue album is magnificent and I love the second (Pinmkerton) too... after that it becomes gradually less satisfying.

Thomas has read up in depth, as is his wont when he finds something interesting. He's bought the first 3 and the recent 'White' album so far, and intends to buy Everything Will Be Alright In The End too, which he says is very good (based on listening to tracks on youtube).

Gary Numan - Telekon
He's playing Austin in December, we will be getting tickets tomorrow. Gotta swat up on all the lyrics, like
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

Best of Studio 1
I have come to learn that this is not a definitive rocksteady compilation, but it is my favorite.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

The Child Readers - Music Heard Far Off

One of my favourite odd folk albums, from The Jeweled Antler collective. Very lo-fi, very fractured and not afraid of ramping up either the noise or the absence of it.
