I'm counting this as the winner of the BCB album of the 21st century, and pretending the top 5 never happened. It genuinely is a great album, I don't know how they struggled to record barely a handful of memorable songs after this.

And onto what probably is the greatest album of the 21st century so far. Certainly the best random never-heard-of-before cheap CD purchase I've ever made.

It's gonna be a Peel Session Sunday night here at the ol' homestead.
Damn difficult to top this one.

A selection of Joe Henderson favourites from the '60s and '70s. Now on 'El Barrio' from Inner Urge.

Re: NOW PLAYING.
I really enjoyed Mule Variations and Bone Machine when they came out (although I much preferred the weirdo stuff to the straight piano ballads), but while I never made a conscious decision to do so, at some point I stopped picking up Tom Waits's albums. I'm now listening to The Black Rider for the first time and it's great!

Word is Scott McCaughey has suffered a fairly serious stroke, and will require a lot of physical and speech therapy. A Go Fund Me account set up has been set up for his medical bills, and many good people are contributing. The Fellows are definitely one of the bands that saved my life when my life was hardest.

Apparently self-released 2017 e.p. I picked up based on the cover art in a record store in Dayton, Ohio. Not bad. Kind of retro-80's techno sounding.
