Probably cheapo repackages, but still...

I saw them in hmv last week, similar prices. They can fuck off till they pay Dweezil what he's owed.

I hear you, but I want the music. Maybe my £50 might put enough in their bank account for them to set up a payment plan for the Dweez.

FWIW I also bought Via Zammata!

You can get the music without lining the pockets of zft

True. It just doesn't sit right with me.

I'm hoping AZ and DZ patch things up. I was listening to 'Confessions' yesterday, and it sounds like they had a lot of fun making it. I caught them at the Marquee when they toured that record. I can't believe the differences are irreconcilable.

Have you read about the situation? I think DZ is completely done with Ahmet and Diva.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with it. Don't forget that GZ is still warm. Maybe when the (emotional) dust has settled there'll be some sort of dialogue that mends the burning bridges. Maybe not this year...
Fraternal aggro is a common historical story.

I used to blame GZ for appalling liner notes. Fuck, that was the tip of the iceberg.

I must admit I haven't got the energy to keep up with this.

I know I should but.....

That's assuming she was warm when she was still alive.

Not noted in the advance literature (that I saw): "Brown Shoes Don't Make It" is the Absolutely Free version, but in a 1969 remix - intended for the Mothermania comp, I'm guessing, although that ended up using the standard mix. This one is very noticeably different in spots.

I've been skipping around the album, and by now I've heard most of it; right now I'm listening to the fifteen-minute-plus opening Synclavier extravaganza, and enjoying it far more than I expected to (the other three, shorter ones didn't make much of an impression).

I've never been able to get with this one: too much King Kong (I prefer JLP's version, anyway.).

I much prefer M.O.I things like We're Only In It For The Money, and Burnt Weeny Sandwich.

Absolutely Free is a bit of a slog these days, as well.

I'm not that keen on the rest of it, either.

Trout Mask Replica, leaves me similarly cold.

FZ, went on to much better things, in my opinion.

It is a great album - replete with one of my heroes Jean-Luc Ponty

Just listen to the violin solo on Fifty-fifty

ooooof!

Läther is a great album which most of the tracks (sometimes in different versions) was originally splattered across 3 or 4 albums at the time

A great album to start with for beginners - it has everything
