The guitar is just great.

The fact that it's not bad musically - competently played and sung in the cause of something that has no application outside of the (I assume forgettable, though I confess I've never seen it) movie it came from makes it even worse to me. It's just about the most egregious misuse of such huge and unique talent that I can think of.

It makes me angry to hear 4 minutes of it. Why would I want to listen to 25 albums of it?

At least as angry as Van Halen makes you, yes.

Van Halen don’t make me angry. They make me change the station.

I get not enjoying the novelty of Elvis’s movie music. But why get mad about it? It’s all pretty amiable - and to my ears, time has made it all a lot more charming than it ever was in its day.

Decades of oh-so-meaningful poetry notebook rock and shitty dance music rendered it mother’s milk to me.
