Don’t google “Bad Shepherds”.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Ha! I get it - it's such a deeply patronizing gambit that plays on the vanities of the discerning middlebrow audience. They assuredly believe they are watching Bob Dylan (and, to be kind, they absolutely the fuck aren't), which may be the first (rather telling/load bearing) structural failing here.

Suffice to say, I prefer this to the seal bark of the original.

A staging post on the road to Ryan’s 1989.

The heights of Rock n Roll seem a long way away now.

RIP Chris Cornell and thank you for some great music you made, but this idea was one that should have been nipped in the bud.

Dreadful. And it's always the same approach isn't it? Drag the original down to a funereal pace, give it a sparse arrangement and sing it in some pained "blues" voice.

It is always the same approach and I honestly don't know what they're doing it for.

I honestly think they think they're being original.
" Nobody would expect me to pick this song and do it in this way".
When the answer is "It's exactly what I would have expected you to have done you fucking twat".

That's a classic - pointing out the similarity to a certain Velvet Underground song by playing it in that style and then finishing off with what can only be described as a sarcastic guitar solo.
Probably just a bit too clever for you Nev

It is; funny, cerebral and stands on its own merits.
I suppose some people don't get it because they don't understand what Roddy Frame was doing.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
