I don’t mind them at all (albeit in small doses), there’s a pitch-black streak of humour right through ‘em. My pick - Mop Top.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

And to think G anointed you a BCB tastemaker.

God that Sleaford Mods ''song''. Yet some Tarquin/Henrietta In the Guardian will tell us they're The Voice Of Austerity Britain©. Talk about the bigotry of low expectations. Don't even get me started on that Bragg effort on the previous page. Cunts!

Good lad.
(song starts around 6:30 - the stuff before is moderately interesting)

To be fair that's just another shoddy Stones live performance to add to a long list. Jagger's body spasms makes even dad dancing Bryan Ferry look like Fred Astaire.

I believe we may have to instruct you in the way that songs are supposed to rhyme and scan in popular music hence:
I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Zero
Rhymes and scans whereas the more correct, in terms of Mitsubishi automobile output:
I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer
Doesn't.
I believe the choice was made based on the rhyme more than anything else, perhaps he could have gone with Mitsubishi Evo, that nearly rhymes, I will tweet him and tell him to try that next time out.
Also I don't believe he really had an uncle who played for Red Star Belgrade, who were a communist not fascist football team, the Red Star being a communist symbol, from Wikipedia:
In February 1945, during World War II, a group of young men, active players, students and members of the Serbian United Antifascist Youth League, decided to form a Youth Physical Culture Society, that was to become Red Star Belgrade on 4 March
I hope this helps and isn't too condescending, one never knows.

To be fair, New Order made some great songs. They just couldn't play them.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Age and experience didn't really work in their favour, either.

I loved seeing them in the 80s. Along with The Fall they were my fave live band.
I could quite happily sit and listen to their recorded output but would have been disappointed if they'd played a perfect copy of the records live. They could be a bit ramshackle but that's what made it interesting.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Then " I look like I've got cancer, I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer" would've been better ..and more accurate.

I like it too, but as I've said countless times before, most of us could do a better job if we were given a couple of grand and a studio for 24 hours.

"Thieves Like Us" is absolutely fucking stellar - the intro alone is Golden.
