Just like Bernard Sumner, then.

John Coan, couple of grand, and a studio for 24 hours

VS

New Order

Should I start the thread?
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Rhymes and scans whereas the more correct, in terms of Mitsubishi automobile output:

I look like Robert De Niro, I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer

Doesn't.

Then " I look like I've got cancer, I drive a Mitsubishi Lancer" would've been better ..and more accurate.

Or even "Copey's a fucking chancer, who drives a Mitsubishi Lancer".

We're onto something here, I know Billy ( I follow him on Twitter ) I'll let him know we are re-writing Sexuality for automobile pedants. He'll be thrilled.
What song shall we tackle next?

I loved seeing them in the 80s. Along with The Fall they were my fave live band.
I could quite happily sit and listen to their recorded output but would have been disappointed if they'd played a perfect copy of the records live. They could be a bit ramshackle but that's what made it interesting.

The unreliability of their equipment in a live setting was part of the whole thrill of it. They could have just used a backing tape like everyone else did.

Oh, I get that, I bet being there is a completely different experience to a cold YouTube viewing at my to work desk. I've even heard YouTube footage of gigs I've been to, and thought the tracks sounded totally different. But apart from the really early live clips of New Order, I've always been disappointed with them. I think it's largely Barney. Voice, charisma, that kind of thing.

Not sure why anyone would think I'd be after sonic perfection, tbh.

That's just embarrassing. Lyrical sentiment aside (and I can easily imagine Pfi%er picking this up for a Vi@gr@ ad) it sounds like every stale popular "authentic" musical piece of shit that has polluted the radio waves over the past ten years.

They were alright for a very short time - 'King', 'Food For Thought' - but FUCK what a rapid decline.

But the reason I posted that one is more to do with the specific song than the group (as shit as they were). The title is the chorus, more or less, and it's shockingly, stunningly bad. Who'd write a song with a title that fucking stupid? and then dribble it out as the chorus?

Utter fucking idiots. Rotten art.

I think that's far from the worst thing they did, but where do you start with this lot?

Incredibly both these two singles managed to get into the US top 10.
