I don't really know where to start with this. It's a very special kind of bad.

It's ridiculous, but I kind of like it! I think it's good-natured. I think they're playing up the kitsch a bit - at least it's refreshingly free of the usual self-importance you get from Bono. Or maybe I'm just imagining it because it's what I want to think.
Better than most of the last 4 or 5 U2 albums, anyway...

I haven't watched it (I will later), but I'm wary any time Bono seems humble. It's just got to be an act.

I turned off after about 20 seconds.
I can’t even watch stuff like that these days. It’s like a scene outta the dinner party from hell.
“Bono and Pharrell are gonna sing us a song everybody! Gather round!”

Brought a tear to my eye, that did. I like the way the video times the "this land so free" line with the destruction of the landscape that is mount rushmore.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Still not as shite as Brighton Rock.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Hahaha that hilarious. It's supposed to be, right?!
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Re: 'What's Up?' and the very worst songs ever
UGH
I heard this over a store's PA system yesterday and GOD DAMN it pissed me off. Garbage.
When they play their music
That hard rock music
They like it with a lot of flash
But it's still that same old back beat rhythm
That really, really kicks 'em in the
They say the heart of rock and roll is still beating
And from what I've seen I believe 'em
Now the old boy may be barely breathing
But the heart of rock and roll, heart of rock and roll is still beating
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
