Rote lump of the same insufferable fey shite that's blighted TV commercials in recent years and made even worse by being associated with those tax dodging cunts.

The wee guy was recently on an Ed Sheeran kick. He had Galway Girl on constantly. I thought it couldn't get any worse than that. However Ed outdone himself with the monumental Mary Mulligan.

I can’t get that arsed about it, as inoffensive as a CBeebies tune.
Face it, Lorde is worse.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

It's just a band that seem to get a lot of muso love. I don't know anything else they did, I just can't imagine how anyone could possibly defend it. It's empirically proven to be agonisingly annoying.

I just checked out Boston Tea Party, the only other tune I know by them and it was nearly as bad
Are they a band that need the context of their times? Were they seen as 'real' and good compared to prog? I don't know.
The mighty Mini Moog is a revolutionary and brilliant machine, but I note that the SAHB keyboardist has managed to find an utterly shit sound on it - one that ironically sounds a bit like a Rhodes piano... Something he already has at his disposal under the Moog

He dances like Ian Curtis and I reckon if you slowed his voice down it'd sound a bit like Curtis too.

To be fair I reckon this is what Will.I.Am sound like sans Autotune

I bought a couple of albums back in the barren early 70s when, as Deebank suggested, they were Better Than Prog. In my defence, I always thought old Alex was appalling, with all that Brecht/Weill nonsense and overdramatisation, and in the press they were written up as edgier glam, largely because of Zal Cleminson, and they were the darlings, it seemed to me, of the OGWT, which was in colour, which helped them along.
Also in my defence i now pretty much agree with the Wiganite and can't bear to listen to the records any more.
