First noticed him because of Somethin' Else, then Milestones. Probably it was after that that I more fully realised he'd played on Kind of Blue.

Julian had such a unique sound on his alto. One can easily pick him out of a crowd.

I have Feldman’s first album (or at least first US lp on the Mode label. Not sure it ever got a cd release.

The Brit seems to have been a superior session musician. Amongst those he's worked for is one Frank Zappa, whose Lumpy Gravy would no doubt have been less savoury without him.
